The GPS chip 120 is embedded within the golf ball 110. The golf ball 110 can be any suitable traditional golf ball that can be struck by a golfer with one of a plurality of golf clubs 112 while playing a golf game. The golf ball tracking system 100 includes a golf ball 110, a GPS chip 120, a hand-held tracker 130, one or more batteries 140 and a packaging 150.
